These are the terms for using crshdAI, the same ones you see in the app. Our privacy notice has the full detail on your data.

What crshdAI is

A free app that suggests one introduction at a time. It is a pilot. We can’t promise an introduction, a match or that anyone is safe.

What others see

An introduction shows your first name, age, photos, broad area, height, education, drinking and smoking, your two answers and, if you add them, religion and community.

What stays private

Your phone number, your gender group and description, who you’d like to meet, your age range, notes for Mira, interests and side quest. These are used only for matching.

Sign-in and photo checks

MSG91 sends and checks your sign-in code, so your phone number is shared with them for that. A selfie is compared with your first photo by AWS Rekognition in Mumbai, then deleted. Your other photos are compared with your first photo the same way. No face template is kept. It isn’t ID checking or age verification.

Notifications

If you turn on notifications, your device push token is used by Expo, Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver private alerts. Notification previews do not include names, photos or message text.

App updates

Expo delivers updates to the app. It sees a random ID for this install of the app, never your profile or chats.

Chats

A chat opens only when you both accept. Either of you can end it, and ending it erases the messages for both of you. Copies made outside the app, like screenshots, can’t be erased.

What isn’t allowed

There’s no tolerance for abuse on crshdAI: no harassment, threats, hate, slurs, scams, or sexual messages or photos the other person didn’t ask for. Profiles and messages with words we don’t allow can’t be saved or sent. The founder reviews every report and can restrict an account that breaks these rules, so it can’t seek or be introduced to anyone and its open introduction closes.

Reports and safety

You can report someone or a message. The founder reviews reports privately. An open report keeps a copy of that conversation until it is resolved and for 90 days after, even if the chat is ended, blocked or an account is deleted. crshdAI is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app. This removes your profile, photos, phone number and chats. We keep coded introduction records not linked to your phone or profile, which the other person still needs for feedback and so a closed pair isn’t introduced again. We keep coded sign-in counters for up to 75 minutes and coded selfie-check counts for up to two days, so limits can’t be reset. Weekly backups of our database are kept for 14 days, then deleted.
